Our vaccination service is more than just the yearly flu shot – at The Health Clinic we want to keep you healthy in the workplace, at home and abroad. We’ll even visit your office to give you your shot.

Our doctors provide health education, pre-departure assessments and consultations to help combat the potential health hazards that come with traveling.
We recommend patients make an appointment well before their intended travel date to allow sufficient time for immunisation. However, if you do need to travel at short notice, we also offer accelerated immunisation programs.
At The Health Clinic, we often help patients who have been injured at work. Our Doctors can help manage problems, undertake any appropriate investigation, and refer you to any necessary specialists. We’re happy to work with your employer, rehabilitation providers and insurance companies to ensure we resolve problems quickly.
Chronic Disease Management (CDM)
If you have a chronic or terminal medical condition, our GPs can work with the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) program offered by Medicare to plan and co-ordinate the appropriate health care for you. We’ll take you through the Medicare guidelines and develop a personal plan for your treatment. Our GPs can also organise care plans on your behalf.
In general practice, a care plan is a process for setting and achieving health goals. This involves:
- Assessment of the patient’s condition(s) in relation to overall health and functionality
- Outlining the practitioner’s goals for the patient
- Addressing the patient/carer’s needs and goals
- Planning treatments and actions that will meet the goals, and planning review steps
If the GP involves other health care professionals as well, the plan may also include:
- Collaboration between team members to prepare the plan
- Recording of each party’s goals and the treatment
- Care planned to meet those goals, and regular review of the team arrangements
Mental Health Plans
If you have a mental health issue, our GPs can work with Mental Health Plans offered by Medicare to plan and co-ordinate the appropriate health care for you.
Mental Health Plans are available to patients with an assessed mental disorder who would benefit from a structured approach to the management of their treatment needs.

Do you accept walk-in patients?
Yes. If you arrive without an appointment you’ll be advised when the next free appointment is and how long you’ll have to wait.
Do you offer home visits?
Yes, by special arrangement. Please speak to our reception staff.
Can I choose a male or female doctor?
Yes, we have both male and female GPs available so if you have a preference please let us know and we’ll do our best to book you an appointment with the doctor of your choice.
Will you send me an appointment reminder?
Yes for GP appointments.
And we will aim to send you notification (via post or email or phone call) if you require any recall or follow-up appointment (for example, with blood works or pap smears).
How do I cancel my appointment?
If you’re unable to make your appointment or would like to reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible 02 9233 3399.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes. Cancelling your appointment within 12 hours of the actual booking will attract a full appointment fee (unless we’re able to fill the slot with another patient). We’ll send you an invoice for the missed appointment fee.
What should I do if I’m running late?
If you arrive late we cannot always guarantee we’ll be able to see you (as you’ll delay other patients). If we can’t see you, we’ll either offer a later appointment or advise you to rebook 02 9233 3399.

Do you accept rebates from private health funds?
Yes. We use HICAPS automated claiming system, so that you can claim your rebate on the spot from most health funds. However, occasionally you may be asked to submit your health fund claim online, by mail or in person. Fees.
- We do not take responsibility for your health fund rebates and any issues must be taken up directly with your health fund.
- Private health funds do not generally cover GP visits. They may cover allied health visits but this depends on the fund and your cover.
