Sydney Doctors would like to keep you updated with the strategies that we are implementing in response to the growing spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID19). We are offering GP Consults for General Medical, Child health and Mental Health as well as GP Consults for COVID19 via phone.
To reduce the risk of COVID19 transmission, and to ensure that Sydney Doctors can continue to provide medical services to the best of our ability, we ask that you remain at home if you have mild respiratory symptoms and/or might have been exposed to COVID19.
We are still are seeing patients in our clinic that answer ‘NO’ to the following questions:
- Do you have respiratory symptoms? eg. sore throat, cough, runny nose, fever
(If you feel short of breath at rest or have difficulty breathing, please call 000)
- Have returned from an overseas trip (ANY country) within the last 14 days?
- Are concerned that you may have COVID-19 or may have been exposed to COVID-19?

We will have stock of the flu vaccination due in April while it does not cover COVID19 we encourage everyone to protect themselves this flu season to reduce the risk of contracting any of the other flus that will be present this season. We have a waiting list, please call to add your name. When they arrive, we will contact you to get the flu shot.

GP Phone Consults
General Medical Phone, Child Health, Mental Health & COVID19 Phone Consults
Booking a Phone Consult:
- Book- to speak with your doctor: 9233 3399 or booking online sydneydoctors.com.au
- Confirmation Email and SMS 3- GP Phone Consultation
- Emailed to you- prescription medication, medical certificates, pathology requests and referrals where appropriate
- Follow up via phone if required.
Our GP’s can give advice, and where appropriate, prescription medication, medical certificates, pathology requests and referrals. As well as advise if you need to be seen in person.

When you call the practice, our reception staff will confirm your above responses and arrange a suitable time for your GP to call you for a GP Consults for COVID19 15 minute phone consult.
Over the phone your GP will assess the severity of your respiratory illness, assess your risk for COVID19, arrange appropriate testing and/or referrals (if necessary), provide a medical certificate, and a follow-up email outlining their recommendations.
COST
At this time, the governments offer for a Medicare rebate for phone consultations has been activated, our GPs will Bulk Bill all that can be during this time. As such, the GPs have agreed to provide this service at the same cost as an in-clinic consult $90 if you do not meet the criteria or do not have medicare.
If you are required to self-isolate for 14 days, repeat prescriptions and referrals can be requested online.

- St Vincent’s Hospital (open from 10:30AM to 6:00PM, daily)
